John J. Bellino Jr. Caring Husband and World’s Best Dad!
John J. Bellino Jr. 72, of Vermont, formerly of Glastonbury and Waterbury, died Monday, November 26, 2012 in Vermont. He was the husband of Claire (Cupka) Bellino.
John was born in Waterbury on September 26, 1940, son of the late John J. and Blanche (Chabot) Bellino. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with his Bachelor of Science degree and, two Masters’ degrees from the University of Hartford. He taught at Fitchburg Massachusetts High School, at East Catholic High School, East Hartford, and he taught for 33 years at Rockville High School, and Vernon Center Middle School. He was a school administrator for 15 years, including Vice Principal and Science Coordinator. He enjoyed skiing, boating, snowmobiling, hiking, and spending time at the beach. He was an avid traveler and took many trips with his wife and friends. He was a member of the Cavendish Snowfleas Snowmobile Club and spent a considerable amount of time working on the trails. Most of all, he took great pleasure in spending his time with his wife, children, grandchildren, his four sisters and their families, as well as sharing laughs with his many friends.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, John J. Bellino III and his wife Teresa of Fort Myers, FL, two daughters, Tara Stauch and her husband Robert of Avon, Stacey Gray and her husband Paul of Durham, four sisters, Diane Colella of Waterbury, Patricia Gabriel and her husband Joseph of Plymouth, Ann Marie Rogers and her fiancé Andy Parks of Thomaston, Carol Arnone of Waterbury, eleven grandchildren, Abigail, Alec, Joshua, Justin, Branden, Hector, Elena, Kacie, Cody, Tyler, Colton and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Saturday, 8:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave. Waterbury for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours will be held Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
