Mr. Peter Kobani, 85, of Wolcott, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Wolcott View Manor in the company of his loving family. He was the husband of Michelina (Maiolo) Kobani.

Peter was born in Waterbury on January 15, 1928 son of the late Alexander and Eva (Hutyriak) Kobani. He was a United States Marine veteran, serving in China and Alaska. He worked in construction with Local 390 and retired from Waterbury State Technical College. Peter was also a member of the Warriors AC and the VFW post 1979. He loved doing yard work and spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Nick and Kelly.

Besides his wife, Mickey, of 57 years, he leaves his two sons, Peter Kobani of Wolcott and Alex Kobani and his wife Sherry of Waterbury; a grandson, Nick Kobani and a granddaughter Kelly Kobani of Waterbury; three sisters, Jean Rigon of Waterbury, Mary Kobani of Waterbury and Lillian Lorten of Cheshire.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
