Mr. Robert E. Gagnon Sr.

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather

Mr. Robert “Bob” E. Gagnon Sr., 71, of Waterbury, passed away Monday March 26, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Cecile (Dufour) Gagnon.

Bob was born in Waterbury on June 25 1940, son of the late Emile and Lillian (Gagne) Gagnon. He served in the United States Coast Guard and participated in the march for the Tomb of the Unknown Solider at Arlington National Cemetery. He was a foreman at Ward Leonard Power Solutions (Tech. Systems) for forty one years before his retirement in 2006. He golfed weekly with his wife and friends on the Bud Tour. He especially loved spending time with his family and was a great mentor to his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife Cecile, he leaves his son Robert Gagnon Jr. and his wife Lisa of Waterbury; a daughter Debra Margison and her husband Robert of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Christopher Bright, Ashley Margison, Tyler Margison and Kyle Gagnon. He was predeceased by his sister Doris Gagnon.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held Thursday 10:00 am at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for a 11:00 am Mass. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
