 Mrs. Ruth (Robinson) Dean, 86, of 32 E. Sarsfield Terrace, Waterbury, died Wednesday July 1, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of the late Ernest Dean.

 Ruth was born in Greenwood, SC on November 17, 1922, daughter of the late Johnny and Estella (Mitchell) Robinson. She moved from South Carolina to Waterbury in 1946. She worked at Uniroyal Inc. until 1978 and Unisys Corporation until her retirement. She was a member of the IBPOE of Waterbury Daughter of Elks and the Clock City Temple # 895.

 She leaves four sons; Michael Dean of Greenville, SC, Ronald Dean  and his wife Pamela of Waterbury, Ernest V. Dean and his wife Odessa of Zelienople, PA and Gregory Dean of Hartford, CT, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 Arrangements: Funeral Tuesday 11:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church 137 Pearl Street Waterbury. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. The Elk service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the church.

Mrs. Joan Dolores (Beamon) Leach, 75, of 31 Nottingham Terrace, Waterbury, passed away Wednesday July 01, 2009 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of James Leach.

Joan was born in Waterbury on October 28, 1933, daughter of the late Thomas & Beulah (Hayes) Beamon. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and was employed at the Sara Clothing Factory for a short while after high school. She then married the love of her life James and started a family. She was a homemaker for most of her life and attended to all of her family's needs as well as numerous friends and their children. Joan had a keen interest in art and enjoyed sketching. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, and playing cards.

She leaves four sons, Warren Leach, Nathaniel J. "Jay" Leach, Kevin Leach and his wife Jacina, Adam Leach and his wife Andrea all of Waterbury, a daughter, Nadine Leach of Waterbury, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a sister in law, Lorraine Beamon of Waterbury, two special cousins, Earl Page Sr., Ruth McEachin both of Waterbury, three special friends, Katherine Murphy, Ernestine McNickles, and Shirley Nicholson.

Joan was predeceased by five brothers, Earl, Milton, Jack, Robert, Edward Beamon, a sister Ruth Kirkland, two sister in laws, Louise Beamon, Evelyn Beamon, a brother in law, James Kirkland and a granddaughter, Dana Leach

Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St., Waterbury. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Calling hour Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the Church and at other times at 30 Terrace Ave. Waterbury.
